Let the games begin! What started as a 32-team journey in the NFL has been whittled down to the final two. This Sunday, Feb. 5, the New York Giants and the New England Patriots will march into Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis for Super Bowl XLVI. Spirit Mountain Casino will have all the live action at our Super Sunday Party, starting at 2 p.m. for ages 21 and over.

With a record of 12-7, the Giants are led by veteran quarterback Eli Manning, a decision-maker known for his innate ability to escape the rush and make fourth-quarter comebacks. The young QB had arguably the best season of his eight-year career with 4,933 passing yards during the regular season. On the other side of the field, quarterback Tom Brady leads his 15-3 Patriot team to its fifth Super Bowl appearance under his helm. Brady emerged out of Michigan as the 199th overall pick in the 2000 NFL draft, eventually becoming a three-time Super Bowl champion.

This game, of course, is a rematch of Super Bowl XLII, when the Giants stunned the undefeated Patriots with a last-minute 17-14 victory that earned Manning the MVP trophy. The upcoming battle promises all the traditions that make it the most-watched spectacle of the year. From what songs will be sung (Madonna is the headline entertainer at this year’s Halftime show) to the most outrageous commercials and ads, the party around the actual game is what makes Super Bowling fun. Fans everywhere will be organizing house parties to watch the big game, enjoy the friendly competition and scarf down a fair amount of pizza and beer.
