Whether your hips swing like Elvis or your vocal range is like Aretha, it’s time to warm up your vocal chords and prepare for your 15 minutes of fame as a contestant in the Spirit Mountain Casino Celebrity Karaoke Contest! Now is your opportunity to stand in the spotlight and sing your heart out for the chance to win the $1,000 Jackpot!

For the month of July, Spirit Mountain Casino is proud to present a Karaoke Contest unlike any other. Up to 75 registered participants will perform in one of three qualifying karaoke rounds before an audience and panel of judges. The panel of judges will choose the top four performers from each qualifying round to continue on to the Finale. Qualifying rounds will take place July 6, 13, and 20. Contestants will perform in only one qualifying round each and have the opportunity to choose their preferred date when registering.

The finale round, with the top four from each qualifying round, will take place on July 27. The Finale will have three brackets of performances before the Jackpot Winner is chosen and announced. There are only 25 slots for each qualifying night and 75 spots total, so register right away if you think you have what it takes to shake, rattle, and roll in the Celebrity Karaoke Contest!

Prizes will be awarded to the top three contestants during the qualifying rounds and grand finale. The prizes are as follows:

Qualifying Rounds (July 6, 13 and 20, 2012)

1st Place: $100

2nd Place: $75

3rd Place: $50

Finale (July 27, 2012)

1st Place: $1,000

2nd Place: $250

3rd Place: $100

You may have what it takes to sing like a star, but can you impersonate one as well? Contestants will be judged on a range of criteria, including appearance, volume/articulation, voice quality, presentation/song interpretation, and audience interaction. Plan your performance from head to toe!
