Originally based out of Tempe, Arizona, Gin Blossoms quickly earned a loyal following with their reputation for great live shows. In 1989, the band played at the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas after readers of the Phoenix New Times voted them the city’s best rock band.

That same year, Gin Blossoms was named the “Best Unsigned Band in America” by the College Music Journal and was invited to play at MTV’s New Music Awards in New York City. Their latest album, No Chocolate Cake, will be released on September 28th, just in time for you to memorize the new lyrics before they perform here at Spirit Mountain Casino!

Ambrosia was originally labeled as America’s answer to the progressive invasions of English acts like “Yes” and “King Crimson”. Since then, they have earned five Grammy Nominations, produced five hit singles, and have enjoyed their fair share of time on the radio.

Today, the band continues to record with the addition of three very talented new members alongside three of the original four. The year 2012 marks the band’s 42nd anniversary as one of American’s best loved Prog / Pop act.
