EZ Baccarat is a variant of the traditional Baccarat game and the Number One Brand in the USA and Canada! It has gained immense popularity due to its ease of play and exciting features.
- No Commission: One of the most appealing features of EZ Baccarat is that there is no commission on winning Banker bets.
- Straightforward Rules: EZ Baccarat retains the basic rules of classic Baccarat, making it an excellent choice for beginners and seasoned players. Bet on either the Player or Banker hand or a Tie.
- Side Bets: Besides the standard bets, EZ Baccarat offers various side bets that can add an extra layer of excitement to the game. These include the Dragon 7 and Panda 8 bets, Divine 9 and Golden Talons – all of which can result in substantial payouts.
EZ Baccarat plays the same way as traditional baccarat except that it replaces the taking of the commission on every winning Bank wager by “barring” one specific winning Bank hand (the winning Bank hand consisting of three cards that totals seven points). The appearance of this hand is the “Dragon 7”. All of our Baccarat games are played with eight (8) decks of cards.
How to Play EZ Baccarat
The object of the game is to have the highest total point count hand, the highest possible total point count being 9. Face cards and ten value cards have a point count value of 0, aces have a point count value of 1, deuces have a point count value of 2, and so on. The card’s point values are summed, and the total point count of the hand is the right digit of that sum (for example, a hand consisting of a King, a 4 and a 7 has a total point count of 1).
To begin the game, players make their wager on Player, Banker, Tie, Dragon 7, Panda 8, Divine 9, Golden Talons, or a combination of the above. Two cards are dealt to the Player and Banker alternately, starting with Player.
- If either Player or Bank achieves a total of 8 or 9 on the initial two cards, the hand is known as a “Natural”, and no further cards are drawn.
- If neither Player nor Banker has a Natural, play proceeds as follows:
- If Player has a point count of 5 or less, the dealer deals an additional card to Player.
- If Player has an initial total of 6 or 7, no more cards are dealt to Player.
- The Banker hand is then resolved as follows:
- Except in the case of a Natural, the Banker will always draw a third card on a total of 2 or less.
- If Player did not draw a third card, an additional card will be dealt to Banker if Banker has a point count is 5 or less.
- If Player drew a third card, Banker will draw an additional card according to the table below. The action taken for Banker depends on the total point count of Banker’s hand after the first two cards (left column) and the point value of the third card drawn by Player (top rank).
| Bank Total | Player Draw Card | Banker Action |
| 3 | 8 | No Draw |
| 4 | 2 through 7 | Draw |
| 5 | 4 through 7 | Draw |
| 6 | 6, 7 | Draw |
- Once all cards have been dealt, the hand with the highest total point count is declared the winner, and all bets in action are settled.
As you can see, the game of Baccarat has very specific rules on when a third card will be drawn for the Player or Banker, as well as when a card will not be drawn. Don’t worry if you are unclear on the drawing rules – our friendly dealers and Supervisors can explain, and our state-of-the-art table displays help you keep track of patterns and predictions.
Wagers & Payout Odds
With EZ Baccarat, customers have the option to wager on any combination of our exciting side bets; “Player”, “Banker”, “Tie”, “Golden Talons™”, “Divine 9™”, “Dragon7™” and “Panda 8™”.
- Player or Banker: A wager that either the Player hand or the Banker hand will win. Pays 1-to-1.
- Tie: When the Player and Banker hands result in the same number, those bets push, and the Tie wager pays 8-to-1.
- Dragon 7: Occurs when the Banker hand wins with a three-card total of 8. When this happens, all “Banker” wagers on the table push. Pays 40-to-1.
- Panda 8: Occurs when the Player hand wins with a three-card total of 7. Pays 25-to-1.
- Divine 9: When either the Player or Banker hand wins with a three-card total of 9, this bet pays 10-to-1. When both Player and Banker result in a three-card total of 9, the Divine 9 wager pays 75-to-1!
- Golden Talons: The highly popular Golden Talons wager pays 1-to-1 on a Natural win and pushes on a Natural tie. However, if a third card is drawn by the Player or Banker, the Golden Talons pay odds according to the difference between the winning hand and losing hand. For instance, if the Banker’s hand beats the Player’s hand by a difference of 9 points, the Golden Talons pays 30-to-1!
What Is The Difference Between Mini and Midi Baccarat?
- Card Handling: In Mini Baccarat, the dealer handles all the cards, whereas in Midi Baccarat, the player who makes the largest wager on Player or Banker (respectively) may handle the cards. This has no bearing on the outcome of the game but adds excitement and suspense to our higher-limit Midi Bac tables! Since players are allowed to handle the cards on Midi Baccarat, a fresh 8 decks are used when a shoe is complete.
- Table Size: Another notable difference is the table size. Midi Baccarat tables are larger than Baccarat tables. This adds to the community aspect of the game.
- Minimum Bets: Mini Baccarat offers lower minimum bets, making it accessible to a broader range of players. This is ideal for players just learning the game, and for those looking to enjoy the elegance of Baccarat without having to play for higher stakes. Our Midi Baccarat games feature higher minimums as well as maximums, allowing players to wager up to $4000 a hand.
